I have just heared about this and I have called a familiar who lives there. He says that there is a Guardia Civil car in front of every Property Agency of the zone.

At last this major has been arrested (Zurgena) for building thousands of properties in rustic area:

I have strong feeling about this new because my family is from there and I was sad about what was doing this people with british people but also with the landscape of the zone.

I think that this property developer has something involved in this case:

      New Horizon Villas

Does anyone know something about this company?

Unfortunately the landscape is being replaced by houses and more houses and even more houses.
Very soon from Albox to Cucador via Arboleas will be just one large housing estate !!

There is an English councillor in Zurgena who is trying to help expats understand what is going on.

He seems to think that the raid was purely politically motivated by the anti Partido Andalucista Junta and not any attempt to crack down on past property abuses committed by Spanish councils.

Do you have any information that could make this situation clearer Peter and is justice being done here or not?

I dont know nothing about political movements but also they are possible. The real thing is that is certain that illegal things have been done in that area and now they have to find a solution in which to punish all but not the poor people who put their savings in risk.

After this I am sure there will be more corruption but they will be more carefull. Another thing is if people dont buy in place that dont seen to be very legal them wouldn be so much money to earn doing this type of thing.

Cándido Trabalón was arrested with two others, his town planning councillor and the owner of the New Horizon Villas company, Antonio López Ramos.
