      Hi everyone,

      I´m new to this forum.

Although I own a property in Malaga, I also, for work reasons, rent an apartment in Jerez.

Two weeks ago, my airconditioning stopped working in the Jerez apartment, ( temps up to 40) and despite contacting the agent for repairs, nothing has been done. The agent tells me he can´t contact the owner, and so can´t do anything to help. He did suggest I pay 1200 euros then withold rent to cover it over the next few months.

I am considering retaining a portion of the next rent, say 50 euros a week, until the ac is fixed.

Can anyone tell me if this is a legal move ?  ir will it cause me problems.

      Any advice would be appreciated.

      Thank you.
