What goes around comes around – sweet justice indeed.

The Ministry for Development has decided to make the Murcia region half a million square metres bigger. In order to achieve this they have to change the border at San Pedro del Pinatar on the border with the Valencia region, grabbing a chunk of their land.

The new border will also take a similar amount of land away from Pilar de la Horadada in Alicante province and all official maps of both regions now have to be changed.

With the shoe now on the other foot, Alicante have announced an appeal!
It maybe worth anyone who is a victim of land grab to see how they’re wording their appeal, it may give them some ideas for their own.

just been looking up some independent info on the area and supposedly from a cultural/linguistic/historical point of view it is seen as part of Murcia.
