Various celebrities have put their houses up for sale in La Finca, one of the most exclusive development’s in Madrid.

Kike Sarasola and Antonio Catalán, both hotel owners, have their houses on the market as do the Spanish celebrities Borja Thyssen and Blanca Cuesta.

Jose Mourinho, a former resident, has left his rented accommodation in the area and returned to London where he will manage Chelsea.

Perhaps the most famous resident, the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, caused the estate agent Promora’s website to crash recently when it was falsely reported on the Spanish news portal Idealista that the agency had his house listed for sale.

The development’s popularity has apparently waned due to what some see as excessive security. There has also been an ongoing three year inheritance battle between the deceased owner’s two daughters which is said to have negatively impacted on management.

Apparently it stopped being so exclusive when they were forced to open up the grounds to the general public afew months ago:

Apparently there was 844.100 m2 of public land that the developers had put a large fence round, just to keep the prols out.
