According to Sur de málaga today there has been an increase in foreclosures in the Marbella courts. Last year they had about 1 per month, this year 8. Also an increase in embargo’s for non payment of community fees.

Interesting is their use throughout the report of
“extranjeros who bought an apartment as a 2nd home or investment” To me this implies that the Courts have little sympathy with the property owners.

How typical that the courts will put on an embargo on “extranjeros ” for non payment of community fees (probably from illegal developments) but will not do it to the developers who built illegally and therefore cannot obtain the requisite LFOs. There’s justice for you! 🙄

to be fair this is not only at foreigners. I know of a few reposession from fuengirola to malaga, and the owners are spanish.
