NO ACTION TAKEN
Following the resignations of Amanda Dean, Ana Vasbinder and Tony Cabban from the Government of Javea on Monday, effectively leaving Mayor Juan Moragues and the Partido Popular in a minority, opposition groups yesterday stated that they were not – for the moment at least – interested in tabling a no-confidence vote against the Mayor on the Town Council. Both Vicent Chorro of the Bloc and Rafa Bas for the Socialists agreed yesterday that the main thing was to cancel the raise in cadastral values that was passed by the Town Council. This saw values increase between 500 and 2,900% and caused a considerable outbreak of discontent.
