Canal Sur radio – heard all over Andalucía – devoted part of its evening programme today to the subject of the ‘illegal houses’ in Almería and the damage this is doing to Spain’s reputation internationally. It was a balanced show and perhaps illustrates the beginning of a change in the Junta de Andalucia’s blinkered approach towards the European residents…
The suggestion that the government should pay any eventual compensation was made to general agreement.
