Hi,

Could anyone tell me what the average cost of electricity in a 2 bed apartment is per month – obviously I know it depends on usage etc. Just checking my bank balance on the internet and a direct debit for E248.50 was taken from account. We only took hold of apartment in October – so maybe this is a set up fee as we were connected before we moved in to the apartment.

Would be grateful for any replies.

Angela,

It is quite probable they charged you with a “welcome” fee, as it is usual here in Spain. If it is your first bill they will include the meter rental and conection fees, so it’s quite normal the 200 something euros you said.

Remember that you will pay a fix ammount every months no matter the time youve been there.
