We are going to visit Andalucía in May, and we could use some help with choosing a fairly priced Hotel or Hostel, as well as any tips on typical restaurants
I was told that there are some fine Hostels in Andalucía.
We will be visiting Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Ronda, and of course Malaga.
Any recommendations will be very much appreciated

Best Regards to all from USA

      David

      Try http://www.Booking.com

An offshoot of a USA website. Can choose your currency and on most Hotels there is no upfront payment ad can be cancelled until about 48 hours before.

      Hi,

Try to find something in “Parador”.

      http://www.parador.es

Is a company financed by the state of Spain which usually have hotels in historic places remodelled in order to become a luxury hotel.

They can be expensive but sometimes you can find rooms for about 60 euros. The quality is superb.

I have been in the Parador of Salamanca with my girlfriend (luckily for 50 euros night) and the room and the building was impresive also with walking distance to the historic places of the city.

I personally recommend this company in order to get the best of Spain for a visit.

I agree with Peterpara. Their no better place to enjoy Spain. The Paradors are graded from three stars to five stars. There is no Parador in Seville but the nearest one is Carmona is a Gem. The Parador of Granada is almost on the Alhambra palace. It is always booked up & needed to be booked well in advance.

One reservation the choice and quality of food in the Paradors is very poor.

Try the section Offers and promotions of the website and even calling the Parador (hotel) cause in these days of economic crisis they should have better offers or they wont have any guests.

For example here you have the link for the offer Five night card promotion:

      http://www.parador.es/en/portal.do?IDM=405&NM=3

It is a promotion of five nights in almost all Paradors with a fixed price of about 100 euros night.

Also in Spain there is a card called Bancotel with let you to get good prices in good hotels. That is the card I used for my 50 euro night in the Parador of Salamanca 2 years ago.

I agree about the Paradors (yes, Carmona is great) but I assumed that the poster wanted something cheaper. I would not eat in a Parador (again)! The one in Jaén is great too.

The one in Jaen, Toledo, Chinchon, Ciudad real ( Almagro ) Cuenca & the list goes on.

I agree that the poster may be looking for something cheaper. Not all Paradors are 5*s. A little bit of flexibility in the budget may give you a truly memorable holiday experience.
