Dear all,
we are going to move to Andalucia ( Benalmadena) soon and we are now looking for a reliable and affordable Spanish Mover.
We are going to move our stuff from France and Germany.
Is anybody there that can recommend a company with which you have done a good experience?
In fact even stories of bad experiences are welcomed so to avoid the black listed companies.Thank you very much in advance, I find this Forum of great help !! 😛

Hi Roberto,
Don´t know if you are still looking but anyway, our things arrived in Spain today, and were delivered as part of a part load by Witham Brothers removals, whose van advertised that they did removals in France and Spain.
The huge lorry our things were on had come from Santandar and was going to Madrid, Valancia, Alicante and Portugal before returning to the UK.
Our stuff had been in storage with another company, who had also packed everything – not very impressed by them but we were very impressed with Withams – they arrived a day early, kept us informed of what was happening and when they´d be with us.
They managed to manouvre their very large 30ft lorry down our very narrow, one track road and had unloaded our 205 things in just under 4 hrs.
They had a reasonably detailed inventory, I think it would have been more detailed if they had packed our stuff up themselves and everything was there as expected (or not as we had forgotten what we owned after nearly a year)
The costs seemed very reasonable, cheaper than some other quotes we had had by other specialist movers.

Hi Roberto,
Withams number is 0800 7838252. They are based in East Sussex but they have depots in Spain and seem to work thoughout the UK.
Like I said we were quoted for a part load by another company and ended up with our things coming here with Withams, part loads are much cheaper, in our case by 1000 UKP.

We used Weston & Edwards and would advise anybody not to use them. They have an unfair contract expecting an arctic lorry to drive right up to your Spanish abode (nigh on impossible). They have 2 people in Spain doing their unloading and expect that to be done in under 4 hours which is also impossible if you have a full load. They then go and charge you extra for all sorts of things saying that you agreed to it. They charge your credit card without sending you an invoice for the xtras and when you complain they refer to the small print. We are complaining to BAR and the Citizen advice Buerau about being overcharged massively and we have also taken up the unauthorized credit card charge with Visa who commented that it is seen as fraud by them and they will investigate. Whether we shall have our money back remains to be seen…………
