A friend of mine bought two 2 bed apartments offplan on Polaris World sites. The first on the La Torre and the second on El Valle. Both apartments are finished (which is more than I can say for alot of others I have read about on this forum) and the La Torre apartment is fully furnished and ready to sell having never been used if anyone’s interested?
Anyway, the contacts of sale included ‘towns’ being built at both sites, which has been done at La Torre. But El Valle has no amenities either built or any sign of building starting. There were supposed to be shops, restaurants, hotel etc etc.

My friend has heard that several owners at El Valle have consequently started lawsuits against Polaris World for breach of contract. He would like to contact anyone who is either involved or knows anything about this as he also wants to take legal action.

Anyone who knows anything about this please reply so we can exchange contact details. Thanks.

Can’t see El Valle ever getting amenities (hotels etc) other than the clubhouse and bar etc it currently has, simply no demand for another hotel in the region and El Valle is too small to warrant shops etc. I was thinking of buying there and actually prefer it without amenities, although no good for rental potential and may put off some buyers.

If you haven’t already done so, (and someone’s beaten me to it in the meantime suggesting it) try the polarisworldforum for this sort of thing, http://www.polarisworldforum.net ,unfortunately the forum administration is absolutely sh*te over there, if the server the forum resides on isn’t knackered, during the ‘up time’ the moderators/admin knacker up any decent threads.

I would be surprised if there’s any mileage in this sort of thing though. Best of Luck.

Mike Price the forum owner/admin is pretty straight and honest so I am sure it is technical glitches giving you grief. However, once you do register, watch out for the PW fanbois wearing rose tinted specs.

That Forum is amazing, would be laughable if it wasn’t so sad! Jennifer Lopez buying there, Disneyworld, Intercontinental Hotel….Mirrors at least another few forums I have seen, Almenzara CC, Costa Esuri etc. I really do think we British are too trusting.

Its not that bad, as stated the administration of it is dire, absolutely dire, generally there are more bad stories on there than good, at least there used to be, its just many were associated with snagging etc which now has largely passed, the town centre ones (HR and El Valle) have been rumbling on for ages.

It will be interesting to see what happens if (I emphasize IF) PW go bump, the MMGR2, Terrez and Condado threads will soon be awash with suicide posts.

At the moment its all quiet on the Western Front over there, not least in terms of rentals and sales 😛 .
