150 members of a Gypsy clan have taken over an urbanisation called Golden Hills , la cala hills, Mijas costa.

The three blocks of 34 apartments are now bank owned after the developer went bankrupt. No-one in authority seems to know the procedure for evicting them. The Gypsies have been squatting there since Sunday morning.

The families used to live around Las Lagunas where Dunnes stores is and are well known for robbery and drug dealing.

In the olden days the police would move them on by any means necessary, but now with so much pc, I guess they will have meals taken to them 3 times daily (or am I in the wrong country!!)

Its terrible really and the sign of whats to come. Many abandoned developments will lead to this and anyone actually living there is going to suffer terribly.
