Claire, I thought the last paragraph was interesting which mentions that people are ‘bombarded by agents and property ads. the minute they step off the plane, and that a slowdown in the construction industry would have a devastating effect’, presumably on Spain’s economy through property taxes of all kinds etc, and revenues brought in by so many agents and Developers.

Probaby the reason why Spain has done next to nothing about Black money payments, and proper regulation of Agents, Developers and some linked Lawyers, often the most mentioned in Press exposes? Too much to lose financially!
