I have been an avid reader of this forum and have found many topics of interest and very informative. However, I wonder if anyone can assist with recommendations or experiences, both positive and negative, of financial advisors, apart from the one advertised on this site.
My situation is that we are 50 & 52 and in a position to purchase a property from existing savings possibly within the next 12 months. I have a deferred company pension and my partner has a full local government pension. We intend to sell our UK property and move to Spain completely, using the equity on our property as additional income. We want to ensure that this plus pension(s) will generate enough income to live a modest but comfortable lifestyle. It is not our intention to immediately look for work although this may happen at a later date.
We do not want to purchase a property and then find out we are unable to afford the cost of living.
If anyone on this forum is or has been in a similar position I would be most grateful to hear from you. Many thanks in anticipation.

Perhaps you could talk to these guys, I have not used them but they have offices throughout Spain, most importantly I believe they are totally licenced and regulated to operate in Spain
Thanks both Jim & Dorothy for your input. I will review both websites for info.
I would continue to welcome any advice, comments and personal recommendations. I hope I am not being premature in raising this topic as we will not be contemplating a move until at least early to mid 2007 but I would like to collate all your experiences in order that we can make an informed choice and hopefully the right decision.
