The candidate in the upcoming European elections for the CDL, the Centro Democratico Liberal party, is Sean O’Curneen Cañas, half Irish and half Spanish. Fourth on the list, i.e. in a high enough position to make a difference, is Jacqueline Cotterill, a British long time resident of Spain and currently deputy-mayor of Parcent (Alicante). Jacqueline also works closely with the AUN, the anti property abuse association which had such success recently with the Auken Report into unlawful property abuse and corruption.
The CDL is the Spanish arm of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE), which is the Union’s third largest political force, with 100 MEPs, 9 of the 27 EU Commissioners, 5 Prime Ministers, more than 800 elected National MP’s and thousands of Regional and Local councillors.
I’ve interviewed Sean on the radio – link at http://www.coolfmspain.com – and written about him at http://spanishshilling.blogspot.com
I think that this is important. the 300,000 Northern Europeans who registered to vote in the European Elections in Spain can make a difference – and just imagine an ex-pat with his voice and his experiences sat in the European Parliament.
I invite you to view the video endorsements in English that I have
received for my campaign and for the CDL party. Please forward to as many contacts as you can, inviting them to view the videos and encouraging them to forward to as many of their own contacts and so on.
