Would like to wish you good luck too claire. Sadly even with bad publicity some people only hear what they want to hear. Awful are trying hard to establish themselves in Bulgaria as are M** and when there name comes up from people on forums similar to this, asking for asking for advice on using the above, I always post links back to here or the times online etc, only to be met with replies such as ” yes but if they didn’t rip you off personnally” grrrrrr makes you wonder why you bother 🙄

Hi tilly, I actually had no input into it, apart from telling the researcher about our situation. Also, I have been told they did not interview our Lawyer, although he offered to speak as I was unable to go to Malaga. I believe Mark (administrator )features though. I am however going to be interviewed for “It’s your money” on BBC News 24 to be shown on Sunday at around 8-30/40 am. Yesterday they did a piece on the sharp practices of Financial Advisers in Spain. I missed it!!

Regrettably I couldn’t make it down to Malaga on Saturday for the interview. So don’t expect to see me on the programme tonight. However you will have the pleasure of seeing Sarah Dodgson on the programme. Sarah runs Hermosa Homes – one of the good agents on the coast that I recommend. She is also a regular contributor to this forum.

Well, the programme didn’t touch on many of the issues. Tried to tackle too many topics in half an hour. Who was the agent? never heard of her company.

yes I have to agree – I was underwhelmed. 😥

They had the opportunity to make a good piece of reporting, instead it was diluted with Bingo card time shares!!

No mention of the real scandals in Marbella except a minor “warning” from a private agent. NO mention on White Whale and unbuilt off plans.

Agree, disappointed in the programe , it only skimmed the surface of a few of the many scams and problems facing people on the costa’s. Need a longer time slot half and hour not long enough.

When I spoke to one of the Watchdog Team, she said that what I had told her needed a program devoted just to that! I guess if I were to contact her and tell her of our dissapointment of the issues covered on the program yesterday, they MIGHT consider doing another one. Is it worth a try? The problem is, when I asked for other people to come forward to contribute, they became “camera shy”! I have an interview with the BBC tomorrow ,to be shown on Sunday morning. I will do my best to put the problems accross. Having said that , they(producers) call the tune at the end of the day!

Sorry but was not given the opportunity to put across nor discuss any of the more acrimonius issues. Interview was only 3 minutes and they cut some of it.

Balena Blanca (white whale) was touched on but due to this being “last year’s news” they probably decided to drop this. I agree with you that the subject of Marbella Planning probably deserves an entire programme.

Yes, actually drove the BBC team up there to show them where it was! However, this was not the Watchdog team but the Your Money team.
