      Hi, has anyone taken up the recently advertised Iberswitch SL offer to fix their electricity rates and is pleased with the outcome and experience? I’m tempted but would welcome hearing from those who have.

      My complaint with electricity bills is the standing charge based on the Potencia. My last Factura from Iberdrola for 2 months of 40 euros -well only 16 Euros was for electricity units used. People in UK moan about their bills but at least if you are a low user you can get a tariff without standing charge.l

      I started off with Endesa but following the liberalisation have moved to Iberdrola. The latter have tariff sin discrimination or con discrimination. con discrimination is basically with a much lower rate between midnight and noon and a higher rate for the other 12 hours. If you heat your water in the off peak period for showering and doing your washing and use gas for cooking and any heating in the evening this potentially saves money. The potencia charge is the same for both tariffs.
