Dreaming of a second home? You need to plan carefully to be certain of success
      By ROSIE MILLIARD

The fantasy goes something like this. You squirrel away some money, club together with your siblings or find some moolah somehow. And you buy a house in the wilds of Norfolk or abroad.

2nd homes are the most likely targets next for tax men everywhere, happening in Cornwall with higher council taxes, in Greece with higher electric bills with new property taxes, will happen in Spain, France, Italy, Cyprus, they are sitting targets. They are not worth the risk unless you are loaded, but then hotels, villas offer change without the same risks. 😉 🙄

Mark, two posts on this topic, your initial one and my reply, why does yours allow a ‘thanks’ but mine does not show the icon, not that I’m expecting a thanks for my reply, but this is happening on other posts now? 🙄 😆

You may not like to what I’m going to say. You can’t thank yourself, so there’s no thank icon on your own posts. Feel free to thank me though 😆

No thanks and why wouldn’t I like what the moderator was going to say? 😆 A few others seem to have had trouble with the thanks as well

      Pleased now?=)

I have seen so many people with big dreams byy second homes that they eventually regret quite a lot… not as investments but mostly because they don’t have that much time over for them in their lives.
