I would like to hear from anyone who has or is currently experiencing problems with the purchase of their property on the above development in Northern Costa Blanca.
I was supposed to complete on the purchase last year but there are still ongoing delays and I am considering requesting a refund.
Hi Martin
Our apartment has been finished since some months ago and its now 14 months since the deeds were supposed to be signed but still no news of a completion date – Apparently there is a backlog with the townhall……….
The development looks great though.
I don’t really want to go down the legal route because its such a good investment property in a lovely setting, though it has made me think twice about purchasing off plan in the future.
So, you have paid the 35% deposit, the property is finished some months but still you cannot complete. Which development is your apartment in? Is it Montecala?
We have deposited 30% on Monte Cala and the property is now finished but have had problems getting a mortgage to complete as the mortgage company value the property lower than the purchase price agreed on.
We have sought advise from this forum with a few interesting replies , thanks for that .
It is also interesting to read there are other issues that would have delayed completion other than our lower than expected valuation result and if you or any one else has any further news on this development or Cumbre as a whole we would be pleased to hear from you. We remain in limbo waiting for a reply from our agent regarding other options .
We hope to sell soon , but thats another story!!
Sven – is it really such a great investment opportunity?
Ron is obviously paying more than the property is worth and prices in the North Costa Blanca are stalling and falling. Just come from Javea and the estate agents next to Burger King on the Arenal has countless reductions.
Plus look at all the flats being built in Javea, Denia and just outside Ondara.
Cumbre De Sol is a beautiful setting, but you do need a car – not the case for flats in Javea and they aren’t even selling.
As for rental income, you and everyone else wants to rent out!
