Costa Brava in the Springtime, and cranes back on the horizon

      The Costa Brava on sunny day in Spring is hard to beat. There are no crowds, the light is fantastic, the service in bars and restaurants isn’t as grumpy as it can be in the height of summer, it’s nice to feel the sun on your skin after the winter…..

      Up there this weekend I also spotted cranes on the horizon for the first time in years (building cranes, that is, not some sort of migratory bird). A visible sign that the home building industry is slowly coming back to life. Let’s hope they have learnt from their mistakes.

      One also sees lots of Esteladas around in the Emporda, where support for Catalan independence is high.
