I’m writing an article on buying inland vs buying on the coast. I would like to hear from anyone who has bought or is looking to buy in either place, and who has a strong preference for one over the other.

Send me an email or PM if you don’t mind talking to me.

      Thanks

We have bought land at Lake Vinuela, Velez-Malaga. Completion on the building contract was to be Aug 05, so far not a block has been laid. Apparently held up by local ‘Plan’ instigated by Andalucian Council. Plan supposedly almost passed but we thought we had all the permissions and apparently haven’t. Used ‘Fopdac’ agent and are trying to find out what is going on without much success. Utterly fed up with vague replies and manana.

Out of choice, We would prefer living slightly inland, say up to 45 mins drive from the coast. Cost of property doesn’t come into it. We prefer the mountains and lakes, and the real Spain. Most of the villages have their own well maintained pools with resident life guard, set in tranquil settings, you can stay all day for 2 euros, no maintainance to pay. Inland seems a more relaxed, secure and real way to live. Once you are there you do meet and make friends will fellow brits, who love, and are there for the same reasons you are.

      Christine,

You need to put your post under a new topic. That way people will read it . You are currently posting under an old thread. I’m sure you will get plenty of responses. Just cut & paste what you have written.
