      We have an offer on our appartment but need to know if the current %rate has been reduced on the capital gains rule.Our spanish lawyer said a reduction from 35% to 18% was being proposed.We are waiting for information as to if and when. ❓

      The change to the legislation required to equalise CGT for residents and non-residents hasn’t even been before parliament yet so nobody knows for sure if/when/how much.

      Next year as from the first of January 2007 CGT will be down for non-residents from current 35% down to 18%.
