      Hello,

I am interested in a property advertised on fotocasa therefore there is no estate agent involvement.

I assume that I need to back-up my offer with a deposit so how does that happen if there is no estate agent to hold the deposit?

Also, can anyone recommend a good English speaking solicitor in Asturias?

      Thanks,

      James.

I bought my last property that way. Drew up a private purchase agreement with the vendors, signed and witnessed, and I paid a relatively small deposit (3k€) directly to them. We agreed a completion date of 28 days later with signing at a notary of my choice. If you’re going to be using a solicitor you could probably lodge a deposit with them.

      Thanks all.

Now I need to find a trustworthy solicitor that won’t lead me up the garden path.
