I am in the process of buying property since 2003 through Parador Properties in Pozo del Esparato which is in Costa Almeria so far had no help from their after sales
The builder has not got a builders licence and thinks he’ll get one in the summer I have got a bankers guarantee as all the houses are nearly complete except mine can the site be legalise or Should i try to get out and get my money back
You are in the same position as us as building work has stopped all over Almeria the latest news we have is that the next meeting between all the powers that be is scheduled for the end of March, I do think they will have to come up with A decision soon as A lot of the family’s whose livelihoods depend on these building sites are now unemployed and have been since November, so fingers crossed we will get some good news soon.
The solicitor should have ensured that you had a building licence at the same time as getting the bank gaurantee. Why don’t you discuss with your solicitor about complaining to the consumer department. Why do you think no licence has been granted. Have they built the property in the ramblers?
The agent Parador Properties has introduced me to the solicitor and three of of them have left the company since then i have found out that the builder only had a provisional license from the local government and waiting from the national government the i decided to get a independant solicitor which i am trying to sort and find out what is happening
I too am buying in Pozo del Esparto and have quite a lot of information about the site and licence situation to date if you want to send me a private message with any questions please do. I did send you a private message as I said in my earlier post but not sure if you have received it.
