I have got a receipt from my builder for all the bank transfers from my mortgage bank to him,it just contains all the payments with dates and it has his stamp on with his address etc and CIF No and his signature but its a copy,it also does not show any VAT elelment on it,will this be ok for tax purposes if we ever sell or does it have to be an original showing a breakdown of vat as well.

I have asked for this because I do not have a complete list of reciepts signed by him but the ones I have has the vat and materials listed.
