ParticipantHi all,
Sadly like most I’m struggling to pay on the two flats I got in Spain in 2008 and in arrears.
What’s the best way I can get rid of them at the moment in 2015?
Are Dacion en Pago currently being accepted?
If I was to be declared bankrupt in the UK would they be happy to take the flats as repossession or would they still come after UK assets?
Any replies much appreciated.
Thank you…struggling big time here! -

This is an exceptionally easy question – lower your asking price.

Are Dacion en Pago currently being accepted? – They are being accepted at present but totally at the discretion of the Lender and it all is dependent on the proposals submitted. We are fully aware of the process here and have had success on a number of cases.
If I was to be declared bankrupt in the UK would they be happy to take the flats as repossession or would they still come after UK assets? – Do you have assets here in the UK? If yes, I would advise that Bankruptcy may not be best option for you here. In Bankruptcy the Trustee in Bankruptcy would have an interest in any assets and can look to realise equity in same..
We are more than happy to talk you through insolvency advices.
There are a number of options available to you here and we can talk you through same. We offer all potential clients a free initial consultation to discuss your situation in greater depth.
We look forward to hearing from you.Karen Isaac
