Planning to invest soon in my first property in Barcelona Spain. (as a resident – living here already 6 years). Focus most probably will be in student / young professional rental apartments.
I assume finding a mortgage solution for my first (small) apt is fairly easy (let’s say max 200k property). I’m able to cover the 20-30% downpayment.
But then when I want to invest in a second, third, … property. How easy will it be to get a mortgage for those? Downpayment will become an issue as well.
Are there any mortgage brokers out there that look at the actual operating income of the property instead of looking at the personal assets that could be claimed by the lender if things go bad?
What ways exist to allow a new investor to grow the investment business over a couple of years?
