Chris, where on earth did you get that idea from? Very few of us believe the UK is anything other than a struggling economy largely run by incompetents. Whichever party they may belong to.
Where it does shine out in comparison to Spain is in the transparency of markets, the generally less corrupt central and local governments and the usually well functioning legal system. That doesn’t put it anywhere close to a “shining beacon”.
