Forgive me if this has been covered recently in the Forum but I can see a relevant post and I’m new to the Forum.

Under PROPERTY BARCELONA: A GUIDE TO PROPERTY IN BARCELONA there is the very useful table of average prices per district per square metre. However, I suspect this is out of date and wonder if there is a current table somewhere to review and guide?

We are looking to buy an apartment in Barcelona, (not for rental), and appreciate all advice on these pages.

      Thank you in anticipation.

I can tell you if the numbers are up to date, but i don’t see where the table is. Could you post a link or say what directory it is under?

The current guide is at http://www.spanishpropertyinsight.com/barcelona_property_guide_3.htm which is the third page of the Barcelona section, right down at the bottom.

      Thank you in anticipation.

i work at pretty well known property consultant in madrid and we recently did a study of barcelona pricing. we analysed only newly built properties so our prices are a bit higher. plus, we looked at pricing per usable meter, which is how they are generally listed in Barcelona (i am assuming these are “constructed” meters since they don’t otherwise state). And since these numbers are from idealista, I’m assuming they include new and resale properties since that is how they generally list pricing.

This site has more recent info from the Sociedad de Tasacion under market info.

If you tell me if you’re looking at new or second hand and what area i can give you our numbers.

Thank you that would be most helpful; we are mainly looking at older properties, although some have been fully refurbished with new facades, halls, stairs, electrics, gas etc. We are not ruling out new build, but it is unlikely in the centre of Barcelona.
