@Mark: all very well but who does one deal with on 902 telephone number ?. We should also not forget the mortgages that are being offered are not very attractive in fact Banks are trying to recoup their losses on the mortgage products & as we all know mortgages are not for Christmas but for twenty five years of our lives.
@chopera: I have friends who have euribor +1%, +1.25%, +1.50%. These mortgages were taken out pre crises. In view of the current position & where some one wishes to take a property off the banks books & turn into a performing asset. I expect the rates to be lower than the above.
I have not even mentioned the other cost i.e. cost charged by the Bank e.g opening fee, setting up fee, going for coffee break fee etc..
@mgspain. In the present climate besides the exchange rate. If one has cash one should not use it. Any credit from anywhere should be used.
I requested my HSBC business Manager for a car loan. I was asked why do I need a car. My reply because I don’t like to walk (not true) next question will the car be for business or private. I replied I will cut the car up in two and use one side for business & the other for private. This is suppose to be the Business manager would I have the confidence with this level acuman that she could help me with any aspect of my business ?.
No accounting for taste, hardly living the dreem with that nightmare, makes even a Wimpey semi look attractive 😆 Kitchen is rubbish too. Perhaps a couple of trees would improve it…looks as if the place has had a chemical weapons attack 😉
It’s not really about taste, it’s about value for money. With a better budget you wouldn’t be looking down at the cheap end, would you. Also, I think you are wrong about the kitchen. I think for the price it’s quite a high spec.
The cost is 784 €/m2. I can tell you that is significantly below the replacement cost with a land price = €0. Once all this stuff is sold off, which it will be, we’ll never see prices like this again (at least not until the next bust).
