      It is correct that there are subventions fior developers but these are in relation to the shortage of rental and low cost housing for young and/or low income residents. The programme is aimed at making such housing affordable to these groups and there are strict rules as to how these subventions can be obtained, sizes of properties, rental prices etc. It could be compared to the British Government’s support for housing associations and such like in the UK.

      For those of you who watch spanish tv there is a documentary on tonight (round about midnight) on telecinco – it will be addressing the construction/corruption boom and is hosted by Mercedes Millan who tends to get answers to difficult questions and does not take no for an answer………..

      Can you please summarise the programe as soon as possible as we in Uk do not have access to the sais channel.

      She Merceces Millan may not take no for an answer. The controllers of Spanish construction industry knows way to silent people.
