ParticipantAre one bedroom flats and studio flats worthless in Spain? The reason I ask is because if a person buys a flat they would ideally look for at least a flat that has two bedrooms. People will only contemplate buying a one bedroom flat or studio flat if they cannot afford to buy the more desirable two bedroom flats.
In a recession one bedroom flats and studio flats become practically worthless because nobody really wants them as people will be able to buy the more desirable two bedroom flats in a property slump. Does this mean that anybody buying a studio or one bedroom flat is effectively buying an asset that is worthless? An asset that they cannot even give away during a slump?
Another question – are all flats in Spain freehold or are some flats leasehold. Does the concept of leasehold property apply in Spain the same way it does in Britain?

ParticipantWas that sensible question ? People who cant afford a three bedrooms buys two bedroom, cant afford two bedroom buys one bedroom & so on.
When it is question of having a roof over one’s head & not finding the right property to rent due to lack of choice or filling the landords pocket, than one buys what onces pocket allows or what amount of mortgage is offered.Non, Spaniards will buy a studio or one bedroom if they just need to spend holidays there or they like the place for what ever reasons.
