Hi,

I am looking to register my property with the Andalusia Tourism Register at the end of this month but I will only be in Spain for one day.

Does anyone know if you need to make a specific appointment at the Department of Tourism in Malaga or is it possible to just turn up with your documentation?

Hi,
We needed to instruct an Accountant and in the end we paid him to register the apartment for us rather than take a trip to Malaga. He did point out that we had completed some of the form incorrectly due to the language difficulties, so in the end this was the best option for us.
We were provided with a provisional number immediately.

Yes, sounds like you did the best option. I plan to combine visiting their offices with a day out in Malaga next week so hopefully all won’t be lost if I fail at the ATR!

An update for anyone considering submitting their Form in person at the ATR in Malaga.

I found it very quick and easy, hand the Form into the office just to the right as you exit the lift on floor 8. They will stamp your copy if you have one with you. The preliminary registration number which you can use immediately, is the one automatically allocated on the Form when you complete the Form online.

I also went to the office (6) immediately above on Floor 9 where a gentleman who spoke good English kindly checked my Form and explained the process highlighting that the Inspector will need to see the Licence of First Occupation when he visits the property (so do not submit if you do not have this licence)! I was advised that they will send the actual registration number after a few weeks.

Note their opening hours are 09:00 to 14:00hrs only.
