I just read Marks’s latest report on banks and their “portfolio” of dumped properties.

He mentions the Altamira Santander Real Estate, a branch of Santander created to liquidate a property portfolio of 2.7 billion Euros.

It seems that http://www.altamirasantander.com/ can only be accesed by password.
Anybody knows how to get to their database?

      Thank you.

      Hi

Seems like http://www.altamirasantander.com is now open for business without needing a password/username. Bit slow though. Discounts on new builds seem to be in the range of only 20%. Would they accept less for cash, I wonder?

What they show on their site looks like a teaser, 1 development in Malaga area and 1-2 in other areas… Besides, the 20% give prices higher than kyero or fotocasa.

I guess there is a lot of space for negotiations, especially for a cash buyer.
I also expect them to get their act together and start adding a substantial num,ber of properties. They are supposed to liquidate a property portfolio of 2.7 billion Euros which should contain at about 13500 properties with a medium price of 200K.

I told you it was a teaser. 😀 Now the access is again password/username…

You’re probably right – a teaser. The area I checked in was around Barcelona – an area that interests me – no properties in the city, just a couple of developments in nearby Sabadell and San Cugat. Nothing very appealing locationwise unless you’re local. They were trying to shift the parking space as an extra for 18K on the San Cugat site.
