      Petition for Bankruptcy canceled
This morning there was a hearing in the Court to study the first petition for Bankruptcy, and Cyclo abogados ´s lawyers were also there. Aparently Aifos has paid to the petitioners and the proces has been cancel.

Aifos informed there´s a probable agreement with 13 diferent Banks to renegociate the debt, and they have until April 30th. to sign it.

This says Aifos have “guaranteed to pay” which is different to what the first post says. We all know how good their guarantees are.

CYCLO Abogados,( Carlos Comitre) is our lawyer. Is this another win in court for him I wonder. (if I understand the quote correctly. 😕 ) If so , CONGRATULATIONS Carlos! 😀

Unfortunately the plaintiffs in this case were not purchasers of property from Aifos.
They were builders/construction workers who had done work for Aifos and hadn’t been paid.
Aifos obviously decided to pay up before the hearing.

Still a good result for” peoples justice” against a corrupt developer.

Yes charlie is quite right to correct me here. My surprise at them acutally
paying someone other than themselves and the lawyers that represent them got the better of me.

obvioulsy I have my own interest in trying to recoup the £60K+ they have stolen off our family and ruined our plans of ever having a spanish holiday home but even if / when I ever get anything off it back which I am hoping this rulig means theres more chance of – time will tell I shall still follow progress on them closely.

It wasn’t actually a ruling, Aifos just paid up at the last minute. However I do know of a case with Aifos where a purchaser was involved and they did the same thing – they rang the purchaser’s lawyer on his mobile just as he was entering the courtroom with their offer to pay. It seems a favoured tactic.

I know you won your case, hope Aifos have paid up!
