For Sale By Owner (FSBO) – Vendor Direct Sales

If you are a private vendor (not an agent or broker earning a commission) you can advertise your property for sale in this section free of charge.

First of all you have to register. Once your registration has been approved and you have been notified of this by email, you can list your property in this forum: Spanish property for sale by owner.

Believe it or not, this forum is an effective way to sell your property.

One user claimed the results were better than anywhere else. The trick is to present your property the right way. Here are some guidelines on how to do this.

1. Choose your title with care.
You need to grab the attention of potential buyers, so be sure to include the key info of ‘what, where, and how much?’ in your title. If you don’t, many of them won’t bother to click and find out what you have to offer.

So for example, a good title is: 2-bedroom apartment in Marbella East, sea views, €200,000
A bad title is: Selling my property in Spain

2. List the key features in the description:
– What (House / apartment, bedrooms, bathrooms, built size, terrace number & size, plot size, store rooms, parking spaces, garden, pool)
– Where
– Views
– Condition
– Asking price
– Other selling points /advantages of your property, for example furniture, design

3. ALWAYS INCLUDE PHOTOS
More than anything else, potential buyers respond to good photos. Be sure to include one or two here if you want people to get in touch. Otherwise you’re wasting your time.

Finally, I don’t recommend put your email address or telephone number here, though it’s up to you. If someone is interested they can easily contact you via the board’s private messaging (PM) system.
