Guildford is clearly more expensive than where I am near Rye in East Sussex. My local charges £2.60 a pint for a great real ale, £2 during happy hour from 5-7 p.m.
In the back streets of Los Boliches in Fuengirola where I was recently a glass of wine and a cana were one Euro each in a Spanish bar with some olives thrown in free. It was more expensive in the promenade cafes.
There are always cheap places to drink, even in marbella. I would think though (especially for people on holiday) that they would not always choose to hang around some of these transport caffe type places. When I am on holiday I like a bit of class.
I have no problem with hard work claire, but people would find you less prickly if you were to be a little less aloof. I say this with genuinely no ill feelings as I would like more civility on these forums

Kingy, I live to the standards I am accustomed to and have worked hard to attain:D Sorry you have a problem with that. You have no S.O.H. then? 😉
