For over 50% of those looking to buy houses in Madrid 150,000 euros is the most that they are willing to spend.
Research by Básico Homes shows that there has been a drastic fall in the percentage of active buyers looking for homes worth over 150,000 euros.
Last year the majority percentage (35%) fell into the 200,000-250,000 euros bracket, this year that has fallen to just 13.31%.
The average age of active buyers is also rising, last year 50% were aged 35 and under whereas this year that has fallen to 35% with 40% of buyers aged between 35-55.
