Spanish home sales returned to growth after 15 consecutive months of declines.
There were 48,517 home sales witnessed by notaries in January according to the latest figures published by the notaries’ association, the first time the market has grown year-on-year since September 2022 (illustrated above).
By region sales increased the most in Andalusia (+9.9%) and Madrid (+9.8%), followed by the Balearics (+4.6%) and Catalonia (+3.4%). Sales fell in the Canaries by 5%.
