The Spanish property market is in 16th place, according to a study by Jones Lang Lasalle, more transparent than countries like Belgium and Norway.

Transparency refers to the openness and availability of information in a market enabling buyers and sellers to make informed decisions.

  • It is a pleasure to examine property for sale in the US multiple listing service ( MLS). Although the commissions paid to realtors is higher in N America, the market is as transparent as can be.

    It has to be down to how Real Estate works in Spain, agents don’t want to give out too much information as buyers simply go direct to the owner and we miss out on potential sales!

    Do Spanish agents not have a catch-all clause like UK agents, thus from my selling agent’s contract “No private introductions will be recognised.”?
