Asking prices for resale property fell 2.2pc in the first quarter of 2011 say idealista.com, one of Spain’s leading property portals.

As a result, the average asking price now stands at 2,219 Euros/m2, and prices fell in almost 80pc of provinces around Spain.

Idealista’s index is based on a sample of 170,000 properties in its database.

The table above shows asking price changes per autonomous between Q1 2011 and Q4 2010. The table below shows changes per province over the same period.
