Property market down 29% in first quarter according to Property Register

The number of property transactions in the first quarter were down 29% to 164,632 compared to last year, according to the latest figure from the Spanish property register.

Resales were down 24.1%, and new build sales down 12.5%. These figures do not reveal the true level of new sales made by developers, which are down by 60% or more.
