Spanish inflation down to 4.2% in April

Annual consumer price inflation fell to 4.2% in April, down from 4.5% in March, according to the latest figures from the National Institute of Statistics. This is the first time the annual inflation rate has fallen in 7 months.

Despite the slight fall in the annual inflation rate, prices rose by 1.1% in April compared to the previous month.

Spain’s target inflation rate as a member of the Eurozone is 2%.
