The area is renowned for its natural beauty
Walking, rock climbing, bird watching, painting (due to the spectacular light), mountain biking and horse riding. If you walk out of the house and head North towards the El Torcal mountain range, you are immediately on a fabulous walking trail (the old road to historic Antequera city located North of the mountain).

Each serve ‘menu del dia’ a menu of the day for lunch where you can have 4 courses plus accompanying drinks for €8.00. Both bars serve tapas also.
Villanueva de la Concepcion is just a 10 mins’ drive. Here you will find everything needed for every day life to include a larger supermarket and numerous smaller ones, 14 bar/restaurants, butchers, bakeries, DIY stores, mechanics, petrol station, large sport centre, swimming pool, hair dressers, barbers, haberdashers, banks, pharmacy, 24 hour medical centre with on-stand-by ambulance, town hall and police station.
Antequera is approximately 25 mins’ drive away. It is the municipality this property comes under as it is located on the very old original route to Antequera from Pastelero. Antequera can be reached be 3 different routes to include two circular ones that are scenic and go around either the West or East side of the El Torcal mountain range.
Malaga city is located approximately 40 mins’ drive away – a city that is very quickly becoming a must see destination around the world. There is now a cruise terminal and the city becomes more and more cosmopolitan and contemporary as each month passes however, it still has a very traditional old town with superb tapas bars and seafood restaurants.
Malaga airport is located approximately 35 mins’ drive away. Many budget airlines fly into and out of Malaga from all around Europe and some international routes are included also.
La Joya is a small village located approximately 15 mins’ drive away and here you will find a 4* hotel with fine dining restaurant, spa and gym.
Festivals happen around the calendar and include the summer feria which is a huge 5 day long street party (each village, town and city has one and all can be visited and enjoyed each year). There are produce festivals in each village and also carnaval in February which is a Hispanic celebration of fun and dressing up. Three Kings is celebrated in early January and this is when the kings bring gifts for the children rather than Father Christmas.
