The house is nestled into the rock just a short distance from the Moorish castle which dominates the region – a constant reminder of the colourful past of the area.

The property itself is very old, is built on the rock and has lots of nooks and crannies but the current owners updated the property some 5 years ago to make it a comfortable and charming home with all mains services, a modern/refitted bathroom and an “Andaluz” kitchen.

The entrance to the property is off the street into a large entrance room with double doors leading into the living space with beamed ceiling. There is a lovely area at the front of the property with sufficient space to dine and relax as well as having space to park.

Salobreña & the Costa Tropical

Salobreña is an historic whitewashed village perched on a rocky outcrop just back from the shoreline and fantastic beaches this area is well known for.

The village is easily recognised by the Moorish castle which sits at the top and the area is surrounded by fertile soil which generates a wealth of fruit and vegetables.

The property has 4 bar/restaurants which are in easy walking distance – the nearest of which is Bar Pesetas which serves great tapas and also has a wide selection of wine. The views from the terrace are superb with views across the village and the surrounding countryside.

There are a number of other places to enjoy food and drink including Restaurant Bottico in the old town square, Bar Martin and the Alhuja Bar – all just 20 meters away for the old townhall/museum square.

A mere 45 minutes from Granada, and just over an hour to the Sierra Nevada, Salobreña is perfectly located to enjoy a beach holiday on the Costa Tropical but also for exploring the Alpujarra, some forty minutes away.

From October to April, you could be in the happy position of being able to ski during the day and return to sunbathe on Salobreña’s long, clean beach in the evening.

There are two main parts to Salobreña – the first is where this property is located – a cluster of whitewashed houses and narrow streets leading up to the Moorish Castel which dates back to the 10th century.

The second part of Salobreña is the more modern development area located just off the back of the beach which provides a huge range of shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy your choice of International cuisine. E

The beaches in this area are superb – a long promenade at the back and plenty of space to find a tranquil spot at any time of year.

This really is the ideal location for a holiday and with your own home in the old quarter, what better way to enjoy this beautiful part of southern Spain. For more information, please contact us and we can introduce you to the owners.
