The cottage is located on the outskirts of the small village of Sant Esteve de Llémena, in the province of Girona, Catalunya. There is a grocery shop in the village (2 min) and a pharmacy and gas station, only a 10min drive away.
The property is just 25mins drive away from Girona city and the train station and just 35mins from Girona – Costa Brava airport as well as 120kms South of Perpignan, France.
Girona – Costa Brava airport is a very convenient airport with many European connections – it is also well served by many of the low cost airlines. very reasonable. Barcelona airport and Perpignan airport are also a short driving distance.
La Pedra Remença is close to a number of quiet, medieval villages such as Joanetes, Besalú, Castellfollit de la Rocawhere you can step back in history. The Costa Brava beaches and coastal charming towns are also less than 1-hour drive away: Pals, Begur, Palamós, Cadaques, Roses, just as an example.
You can also have an enjoyable day trip to Barcelona by taking the train in Girona station (1h10min) to central Barcelona. Relax and forget about parking in the city! But if you work in Barcelona, you can use the AVE, high speed train and reach Barcelona in just 38mins!
Being so close to Girona city, you will discover its historical centre, the Jewish quarter, admire its architecture, narrow old streets, outdoor little cafes, restaurants and interesting shops.
