@DBmarcos, Try Granada or places like ” La granja if you wish to be near Madrid. No Irish bar to the best of my knowledge but access to Segovia, Avila.
Only problem with places like above is that they are very inward in all aspects of life. How many Albondegas, patata brava, tortilla Espanloa or the lamb from Segovia one can eat !!!!!!!!
Granada? (fantastic city btw, may well look into that) But it’s a bit far from Madrid. Did you mean Avila or El Escorial? Aranjuez seems quite cheap, I’m not sure why, according to this average price site: http://www.elmundo.es/suvivienda/sv/tasaciones/
The further you get from Madrid the cheaper (to an extent) Some very cheap places in Toledo province. But if I’m not connected either by cercanias or metro, better to look again at Valencia, and tbh my partner may insist on somewhere near the coast anyway.
