I think most businesses, not just restaurants, are having to bow (down) to the pressures of the economic climate, to maintain a survival.
Having said that, I live in a small town and it has seen more expensive shops opening in the last year than I have seen in the last twenty one years that I have lived here. đŸ˜¯ How long they survive remains to be seen. It has certainly changed the face of the town and makes it a far more attractive place to consider when buying property. Banks, Estate agents and Hairdressers used to dominate. Unfortunately we lost Woolworths which was a big loss but we were lucky to have it, being such a small community.

Yesterday I was in a huge out of town M&S /Tesco nearby. It was HEAVING. Hard to find a parking space. No sign of a recession there!
