The problem with this site is that all the happy purchasers don’t come over to foums such as this to complain. The vast majority are happy purchasers.

But this forum, I think, was created not so much to tell happy yappy stories with dazzling coloured avatars -of which you learn nothing- albeit to raise the public awareness on certain issues regarding Spanish property. And this involves often some very sad stories.

In life you learn more from failures than from success.

In any case Spain is a beautiuful place to live in and fortunately for you expats it is very cheap for you so don’t let all the sad stories put you off from purchasing property in Spain. You only live once, enjoy it. The media at times tends to create a mountain out of a mole hill (i.e. all illegal dwellings will be demolished in Spain … 🙄 ).

Look at Chiclana, all 40.000 illegal dwellings have been legalised and no compensations have been paid to the town hall, a true general amnesty. Why don’t they talk of that ? Why focus all the time in Marbella’s compensations then ? Because it helps to sell newspapers, bad news is good news.
