Great views spoilt by that naff construction. Obviously never been lived in. Will probably be bought by some Russian with more money than taste…for about a third of the price
Looking at the pictures and because of the location, this property would make a good ‘extremely exclusive’ hotel rather than a private residence – except there are only nine bedrooms.
I think they’ve built a bit of a pig-in-a-poke really – too big for a private residence (imagine all the staff required for it’s upkeep, there would never be any peace/privacy) and not big enough for something commercial.
Built five years ago I agree it doesn’t look as though it’s been lived in, though a paint job and some new furniture/carpets can create that. I wonder how long this has been on the market.
I don’t find the architecture too offensive, have seen far worse.

I agree you can find worse, but for €50 big ones you can do a lot better. The style is pretentious and lacks all proportion. The nouveau riche of today will love it.
Talking of the arriviste class, did anyone read the article in the Weekend FT about the über-rich buying property in Switzerland? These people have lost touch with reality. Their egos are on the rampage. Invisible vending
This FT article about wealth and vulgarity also worth a read: Vulgarity and values
This was on one of those programmes on La Sexta or Cuatro (can’t remember which). It was being sold at that time by Engels and Volkers. I think the guy turned up in a helicopter…but my memory fails me on this detail.
I think it was definitely Cuatro’s “Callejeros” programme.
